GlenAllachie & MacNair's @ The Spirits Business' Scotch Whisky Masters Awards

It can be said that we're all feeling a little 'on the rocks' about the whole Covid-19 pandemic. However, through these uncertain times, The Spirits Business' Scotch Whisky Awards still went on, receiving almost double the entries that was submitted last year.
This year, the panel of judges included: Billy Abbott, ambassador for The Whisky Excahnge as well as Matt Chambers and Karen Taylor who were the co-founders of the Whisky for Everyone blog. The tasting was chaired by Melita Kiely, Editor of The Spirits Business Magazine.
Following it's succes on their GlenAllachie 10yo Cask Strength Batch 4, GlenAllachie walked away with a gold for their GlenAllachie 15yo (which coincidentally happens to be a hot favourite at Asieuro Singapore's office). Another Gold medal was awarded to GlenAllachie's MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Years Old that was described by the panel as having: "an aromatic nose leading to a balanced sweet and savoury palate of chocolate, meadow flowers and stewed fruit".
MacNair's Lum Reek 21 Years Old exceeded expectations and went home with the coveted Master Medal. The Blended Malt was praised for notes of: "spiced breads and cake batter with a swirl of apple sauce". The Whisky Exchange ambassador also complimented the Whisky saying: "The wonder of a blended malt is the ability to look outside of single characters. This is whisky that does that very well; it brings together different ideas in harmony".
